I think we’ve all wanted to be a National Geographic photographer at one point. I know when I was young, I did. But sooner or later, most of us realize that the idea of living with harsh weather, poisonous critters, and deadly animals, isn’t as peachy as our imaginations would have us believe.
In this short video, National Geographic photographer Joel Sartore reveals what it takes to work for that yellow-boarded magazine. And although what he says seems pretty obvious, his words can apply to any dream we might have. Because when he says it takes drive and a strong mind–not to mention a strong stomach–to weather most of what life throws our way, he’s not kidding.
