Although it would seem simple enough, getting a really beautiful time-lapse photography can be a headache. Beyond finding an interesting subject, or a good vantage point, or even picking the right lenses, you got to worry about the mathematics of it all. Plus, you need to account for the right amount of data storage. In these ways time-lapse photography problems are similar to those of filmmaking.
But as is the case nowadays, there are plenty of tutorials out there to help. And this episode of a 4 part series by Canon’s Digital Learning Center is one you shouldn’t miss. The lessons are smart, and the pacing accessible. Pulitzer prize-winning photographer Vincent Laforet covers everything that goes into making a beautiful time-lapse photography–from scouting to post-production editing.
